ENISLING III: Poetry Gabriola presents Erin Moure Lee Hutzulak

Please note: As seating at the Roxy is limited, festival pass holders and PGS members will be admitted strictly on a first come/first serve basis. PGS members are asked to reserve tickets by email to info@poetrygabriola.com and those that can be accomodated will be contacted and met at the festival gates at 4:45pm to be seated.  

In 2016, Poetry Gabriola commissioned three pairs of exceptional text and sound-based artists to create  collaborative works. Join us to witness an introduction to the third and final collaborative performance in the series.

Erin Mouré (a.k.a. ErÌn Moure, Eirin Moure, and Elisa Sampedrin), poet, translator, essayist, is a winner of the Governor General's Award (she has been nominated a total of five times) and the Pat Lowther Memorial Award, shortlisted three times for the Griffin Poetry Prize, Erin Mouré is also an active translator of Galician, French, Spanish, and Portuguese poetry into English, a frequent collaborator, and remains one of Canada's most prolific and influential experimental poets.

Based in Vancouver, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Lee Hutzulak is one of Canada's most original sound-based artists and collaborators. A graduate of the Alberta College of Art + Design he originally led the post-rock group Dixie's Death Pool in Victoria, and has been working increasingly working on electro-acoustic compositions and improvisations using minimal effects and guitar.
